Someone I Can't Call Mine

I have swung back and forth, wondering
Whether to hold on still or just let go
What we have is like an endless tunnel
Where it leads us is a blur, I really don't know

The waiting is absolutely tormenting.
It made me question love.
Ambivalent feeling, wishful thinking,
Waiting at the end of the crossroad,
Waiting, just waiting.

I've heard your voice over and over.
Then a glimpse of you made me want to stay longer.
Craving for you, impeccable love this is or so
Though the possibility of us clearly is vague,
We're a "yes" yet a "no."

There's no use of escaping the you and me, not "us."
Tried to hide the love with loathing and hate
But every time I stay away careful and slow,
I'd recoil back to you so fast—too fast I can't go.

So I told myself, I surrender to love.
I'll just let it all hang out, no ifs, no buts,
Because love is anything you can't understand.
But I'll keep on wishing that someday we'll both find the answers
With your hand in my hand

They say don't let go of someone who
Makes you feel surreal, someone who
Makes you smile unknowingly, and who
Makes you want to stay even if there are no other reasons for you to.

If It's Not Love, What Could It Be

They said it's not love.

But if it isn't love,
Why does it hurt so bad?
Why is it so painful?
Why am I still willing to wait?
Is it still infatuation?

When I know that it kills me yet I'm still hoping and fighting,
Even if I know that you'll be forever blind with my love.

I understand,
It isn't easy for me.
It will never be easy,
Never be easy for anyone.

Everything makes me think of you.
That's hard because I know
That I never entered your mind even for a second.
But I still hope that someday, even it it's not today,
I hope that someday you'll give me a chance.

Give me the chance to love you,
To love you endlessly and unconditionally.
But why is life so complicated?
Why can't we just loved back by the one we love?
Why can't we be happy with the one we love?

Although, I'm still happy,
Still happy knowing that you exist,
Knowing you're happy even if it's with somebody else.
I can wait, even if it will take forever.

Learn to love with all your heart and accept the unlovable
side of others. For anyone can love the rose, but it takes
a great heart to include the thorns.

We have discussed so openly the many  personal aspects of our lives.
We have talked about our needs, our dreams, our similarities and differences.
We have given one another the freedom to ask anything and talk about everything.
We have put all of our concerns in the open,

 So that we had have the freedom to grow and be ourselves.

You have been a ray of hope and my source of laughter when I wanted to cry.
You have touched me with just a word of encouragement when I was down.
You have been my shelter when times are tough.
You stayed here beside me, offering hope and showering me with your love.

You have been the one person I can tell anything to, 

No matter how personal or how much it might hurt.
You have not judged me based on my past.
We have never held one another down and we have respected each other.
You are a very special person in my life.

These are just a few of the reasons why our  relationship means the world to me.
It is the most precious gift I could ever receive

What Love Is.......

It is said that love is blind, but it is not true.
When you are in love with someone,  you see their flaws, 

yet you love the person in spite of,  and sometimes even because of, their imperfections.

Infatuation and physical attraction can be seeing through rose-colored glasses.
What we see may look wonderful, but it is not necessarily real.

Love casts a glow that allows you to see true beauty and goodness visible only through the " eyes of love."
It sees through the heart and reveals all that you are, and all that you can be.

When you are loved, it frees you to unlock your potential and fulfill your dreams.

Love is a journey that is shared not a destination that you arrived at.

It changes and grows as two people discover each other and themselves along the way.

The course of a relationship travels in a twisting, winding road not a straight highway. 

Some parts of the path Love follows will be smooth, others may be difficult to traverse.
Those times when it seems as though you are lost or  have veered off course are filled with some of the most valuable lessons.

Accept that each moment of your journey is a necessary part of the trip, and that it is the journey together, not the destination, that matters.

Someone Special

I know things are not perfect between us
and certainly not always easy
But as I look around us
I think we are blessed.

Some people do not have someone special

their problems and their solutions
They have no one to learn life's lessons with
and to help them grow stronger.

They do not have someone to tell things to,
someone who will forgive them if they mess up.
Some people do no have an everyday companion
to be there for them in every bend in the road.

when something in their life is going wrong
They may not have anyone to pray for their safety
and well-being and happiness.

As I think about what could and could not be
I am thankful for what is and what is not
I am thankful for you, for me, for our love
I am thankful for what we do have

A Tribute To All Fathers--Happy Father's Day!

June 21, 2015 - Father's Day.

"Honor your father and mother.” This is the first of the Ten Commandments that ends with a promise. And this is the promise: If you honor your father and mother, "you will live a long life, full of blessing.” And now a word to you fathers. Don't make your children angry by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction approved by the Lord. Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 2 – 4

Father’s Day is a day that we honor and celebrate all dads, who work tirelessly to support, educate, and protect their families in times of hardship or prosperity. They strive to raise their children to be respectful, responsible and to be able to be good productive adults with morals and family values. Dad’s can be stern, obnoxious, supportive, strict disciplinarians, and extremely protective. Dad’s sometimes behave like children themselves, and can be very funny and entertaining.  Most of all, a fathers love is unconditional and deep rooted to the very fiber of their being. Dad’s are a source of strength and support, encouragement and forgiveness and deserve to be honored for all they have done, all they do and all that they are.

A fathers job is not an easy one, ask any father and he will tell you so, but a good father will also tell you that no matter what he had to endure, the end justified the means and was always worth the sacrifice.

Fathers are the biggest source of strength for a child. The innocent eyes of a child perceive father as the all-powerful, most knowledge, truly affectionate and the most important person in the family.  For daughters, fathers are the first men they adore and fall in love with.  While for sons their fathers are the strongest person they know and someone they aspire to emulate.  Even for the grownups fathers are someone whom they look up to for the most experienced and honest advice that is always in the best of our interest.  For this great figure in our life that we know as father - it becomes our utmost duty to pay our humblest tribute on the occasion of Father's Day.

Children blessed with a loving father should consider themselves fortunate.  For, they have someone to take care of their needs and interests.  Someone to stop them when they are diverting to a wrong path and guide them on a road to success and virtue.  For many of us, fathers have always been there to solve our numerous mathematics and science problems and explain the same formula hundredth time or better still until it is understood by us. Fathers would never ever give a smallest of hint to let us know how hard they work to take care of our needs and fulfill even the most whimsical of demands....For all their adorable scolding and affectionate punishments we all owe a big thanks to our Dads.

I find myself wondering if I gave my father his due, for all that he has done for me, and did I ever thank him? For all my childhood memories, for helping me deal with life’s stresses, for helping me accept my defeats, and celebrate all of my successes. Did I thank him for teaching me the value of hard work, courage, good judgment and being true? I wonder if I thanked him for the laughter, smiles, and great times we shared. My father taught me right from wrong and I hope he knows how much he is loved and appreciated, and I can undeniably, without a doubt realize all that my father has done for me over the years, and the only words I can find to say, are Tatay, you are my hero, I love you dearly and most of all I say, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You and I missed You.
